Round #4 turned out to be another great trial. Lots of big rocks and some man made sections kept everyone on their feet. 32 riders showed up, which was great considering it was Mothers Day and with the group check we all got done early. The weather was great all day which helped out the scores, and kept the traction perfect. Thank you to Duane for setting up the trial, everyone is lookign forward to the next one. The results are posted RESULTS and soon there will be pictures to follow. Dont forget the next trials coming up is Hog Hallow on June 15th, and the Wednesday night series will be starting on June 11th at the Milk Creek Venue. See you all there.
Sundays COTA points round 3 at Rock Hill turned out to be a challenging and fun event.40 plus riders turned out.The sections were set up for a dry day but we had rain off and on throughout the day, which made for a lot of muddy hill climbs. We all had a lot of mud to wash off the bikes when we got home.11 new and returning members joined at this weekend’s event so our total membership is now around 80.Welcome to all the new members, we look forward to see you at the rest of the years events. Thanks to the observers who spent the day out in the rain to do the checking, the girls who signed us in and totaled the scores, Gary and all the people who worked on the sections and of course Lester’s for hosting the event. Max has a link to the scores below and there some pictures posted by Jake Metteerhttp://www.observedtrials.com/discus/messages/2/2210.html?1207608733.The next event will be the Columbia Cup. For information see the link above.
51 riders decided to show up to one windy trial in the gorge Sunday, our largest turn out in years. A total of 8 sections and three loops for the morning riders, and 4 loops for the afternoon riders, kept everyone busy. The weather was cool and sunny, but the wind never let down. In some sections you had to be careful or you could get blown off line, just another added bonus on top of everything. Thank you to all the observers who battled the wind all day, Gordon and Kristin for doing the sign up and scoring, and to Tom Niemela for taking some pictures of the event. LINK TO TOM'S FORUM AND PICTURES Hope to see everyone at rock hill on April 6th.
42 riders made the effort to show up, and it was well worth it for the season opener.
Trials marshal Ken Levens, set a course of 8 section to be ridden four time by all, in a three hour time limit, the course also consisted of three new classes for 08, champ, vintage A intermediate line and vintage B novice line, I think we will see these classes grow has the year
goes on.
The weather for the trial was perfect with just enough slime getting dragged on the rocks to catch you for the big dab if you were not careful.
Thanks to ken for all the hard work, Gordons daughter for doing sign up, and Max for getting the results out so soon. Hope your all keen to take on round two at Dallesport on Sunday March 16th.
